The company has obtained ISO 14051 Environmental Certification and, despite the challenges of the global pandemic in 2020, successfully achieved GMP factory certification and medical device manufacturing approval. These certifications represent Mascot’s integrity and reliability toward its customers, ensuring that every product meets the highest quality and safety standards.
In addition to producing eco-friendly materials, Mascot has also been developing new green scientific materials, applying them to more sustainable and high-efficiency products.
Through these efforts, Mascot aims to move toward ESG-oriented sustainable management and contribute to a greener and more beautiful future for society.
1-2 Sustainable Development
Mascot firmly believes that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a vital blueprint for guiding businesses toward a more sustainable future. To achieve these aspirations, we integrate the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) into our core business strategies, using them as a compass for every decision we make.
In the social dimension, Mascot is committed to building a caring and inclusive corporate culture. We prioritize the well-being and growth of our employees, ensuring a fair, safe, and respectful workplace that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
In the environmental dimension, Mascot incorporates sustainability into its operations to reduce dependence on natural resources. We promote energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and emission reduction, while actively engaging in climate action to support the environmental objectives outlined in the SDGs.
In terms of corporate governance, Mascot is dedicated to fostering transparency and accountability. We continuously strengthen our governance structure, safeguard shareholder rights, and maintain regular monitoring and reporting to demonstrate our commitment to ESG practices.
For Mascot, ESG is not merely a means to achieve goals—it is an integral part of our corporate culture. This holistic approach not only helps us advance the SDGs but also enhances our competitiveness, attracting employees and partners who share our vision and values.
We firmly believe that by aligning corporate governance, SDGs, and ESG, Mascot can make a positive impact on society and the environment, while ensuring long-term business sustainability.
1-3 Risk Management
Environmental Risk
Climate change may lead to extreme weather and natural disasters that impact workplace safety, production, and the supply chain.
Mitigation: Conduct climate risk assessments, implement appropriate adaptation measures, and explore low-carbon and climate-friendly production and business models.
Supply Chain Risk
Resource shortages and depletion may cause fluctuations in raw-material prices, affecting production stability and customer interests.
Mitigation: Implement resource-saving measures, promote circular economy principles, and adopt renewable energy to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources.
Corporate Governance Risk
Corruption or misconduct could result in legal actions, fines, and damage to the company’s reputation.
Mitigation: Strengthen the corporate governance framework, enhance transparency, and ensure compliance through external audit systems such as ISO and GMP certifications.
Social Risk
Unethical social behavior may harm brand reputation and weaken consumer and shareholder trust.
Mitigation: Emphasize corporate social responsibility, build transparency, and proactively address social issues.
In addition, poor labor conditions or human-rights violations could lead to reputational damage and legal liabilities.
Regulatory and Information Security Risk
Changes in laws and regulations may have a significant impact on internal management and external business operations.
Mitigation: Continuously monitor regulatory developments, conduct internal training, and ensure compliance with both local and international laws.
The leakage of confidential data, privacy issues, and challenges from digital transformation pose further risks.
Mitigation: Implement smart-manufacturing systems and collaborate with government agencies and external partners to build internal IoT infrastructure, enhance data-security measures, and comply with relevant privacy regulations.
