Water Quality Real-Time Monitoring

To reduce quality abnormalities and wastewater discharge, Mascot has implemented an IoT-based real-time water quality monitoring system.

Before the system was introduced, water quality was manually inspected once a week through sampling. The testing process required 3–4 days of bacterial culture incubation, meaning that corrective actions—such as chemical dosing—could only be taken after contamination was detected.

After the new system was introduced, pH and conductivity sensors were integrated into an IoT platform to perform real-time monitoring (one measurement per second).
The system automatically triggers alerts and chemical dosing when preset threshold values are exceeded, effectively preventing water quality deterioration, contamination spots, or fiber clumping during production.
